December Dog of the Month – Strudel

Virginia Beach

Meet Strudel, our December Dog of the Month!  Strudel originally came to us from Hearts for Hounds as a foster dog.  She was originally found in a shelter in Newport News where she was left because her original owner had passed away and the family decided they didn’t want to deal with her because she was too over weight.  Hearts for Hounds pulled her from the shelter and we decided to work along side them to help Strudel lose weight and help her get into her forever home.  She was placed with foster families and eventually adopted by a loving family.  She has lost over 30 pounds doing agility here at  Zoom Room and with the proper diet and exercise she continues to thrive.  She is even on her way to becoming a service dog for her new family’s daughter!  She is super sweet and she loves doing agility. We love watching her thrive in a new home with a super loving and committed family!  We know she will continue to break all odds and she will give her new family many years of love and companionship!
