Scent workshop was a fun 6 week class for my shy and scared dog. I enjoyed seeing the same dogs every week, watching them all learn the scent searching behavior And cheering when they found it!
My dog Myko loves walking in the door and seeing her favorite trainer, Kevin. Agility 1 and 2 has built her confidence and I have seen changes in her in confindence level outside of the class as well. I can only imagine how much better she will be if I continue with training.
Dave has been very helpful with Arya's problems of leash aggression. She is also having a great time learning agility!
AJ is an excellent trainer and reads dogs and owners very well. Krista is also a skilled trainer. I have taken more classes with AJ and my dog has formed a good relationship with him. The classes educate the dog owners on how to train our dogs in a positive manner. The classes are well organized and the dog arena is clean. The playgroups are just that dogs at play with each other. Friendly Dog wrestling is the name of the game. This socialization is very important and AJ is in the arena with the owners teaching us what to look for behavior wise from our own dog as well as reading other dogs.
AJ is the best trainer I have ever had. he has an amazing ability to teach our dogs and owners of course
WOW! Toby and I have had an absolute BALL. Kevin is kind, patient, explains things very well, and we love it! Facility is clean, "open", and the equipment is GREAT. The only thing is that it's far away from my home, but I love the fact that if you have to miss a week that you're not "docked" and can still come the following week. It's great that there are classes like this on the weekends too to enable people who have 12-hour days at work to be able to participate with their dog in activities such as this!
The trainers are great! It's a great workout for me and my dog. Its good quality time we can spend together as well. Not only does my dog love it but I learn a lot about myself as well.
lots of fun for both dogs and people. Good instruction
aj is terrific and knows just what "i" need to learn to train my dog. he is also on top of your dog's progress so that he is moved along as fast as his learning allows.
It has been a really helpful experience, for myself, a first time pet owner, as well as my dog. I feel I am more in control of situations that arise. Zoom Room helped give me the tools I needed to make my life and my pet's life less stressful.
My dog and I love the zoom room! the trainer's are very knowledgeable, they take their time with your dog, and they really love what they do. I will continue to take my dog here and recommend it to all my friends, i'm even having my dog's birthday party here :-)
My dog is very timid and it took a while for her to get comfortable enough to pass Obedience 1. Dave can read a dog easily and knows how to deal with Emmy. She was lying down comfortably by the end of class.
Meghan is fantastic and Gizmo absolutely adores her. Gizmo is a high strung anxiety filled dog that attends classes more for socialization. Meghan is aware of this and always takes time to work with him by integrating him safely with the class when it's appropriate. I'm just sad that she will no longer be in Sherman Oaks!
Love the atmosphere & the ability to schedule classes (online)when I can attend, without the guilt of missing a week or feeling like I am behind if I don't attend every week. Also love how the instructor(s) work with each dog/handler's abilities without the pressure of having to be at a certain pace or specific level on each/every obstacle.
Max's experience and mine are unbelievable. Dave has taught us that we are in control and our pups can do anything if we handle them right, and of course they are having the best time so they enjoy the agility, the friendship with the other dogs and pleasing us, the owners. When I mention we are going to agility today he sits by the front door.
We are so grateful for Zoom Room and for our instructor Kara. Kara is wonderful with all the dogs and creates such a safe and fun environment for everyone to learn. Our pup Cooper loves Zoom room and it has been a great bonding experience for us as a family/pack.
SanDee is an English Cocker Spaniel and very much scent driven. She enjoyed agility classes for a while but got distracted by all of the various smells --- so the Scent Workshop was right up her alley. I think she had fun in the classes and seemed to get the idea of finding the box with a scent --- but she is also very treat oriented so she was happy to get lots of treats!
Kevin has been very patient with me. He never talks down to me or my dog. Everything is always positive. He has helped alot.
So much fun and new challenges for Chance and me. I love the people that I have met and whom are so supportive of each dog in our courses. I think Chance has a new romance with Rook and Tippy, he seems to seek them out. This Sat. will be our 32nd Class so I guess that says it all......also we all share info about our pets health.....very helpful. We are still Zooming!!!!!
Jamie and Gabby are doing a great job. they keep things moving and have excellent energy. Hurley looks forward to zoom room every week.
Meghan was absolutely awesome! Lucy loves the class and meghan is such a wonderful teacher! We are disappointed that she won't be at the Sherman oaks location anymore. we are not sure what we will do. we may try out the new instructor.
He’s great and Max has improved a lot
I like that the size of the classes are small, but because people are coming a going and at different levels, it can be pretty repetitive if you have been going for awhile, and then a new puppy takes the class.
It's been fun to watch my pup's courage grow throughout the 4 weeks of training and one gym session. She was scared of the trainer at first, and now can't stop giving him attention! I've been to a lot of training facilities, and this has been the most exciting to experience.
great. she is an excellent instructor. Wish there were more classes, since this class is always full and hard to get into.
Buddy and I had a great time! Buddy is so interested in learning new things so we wanted him to do agility since he already is a natural gymnist in our home. We love when the classes are small 3-4 participants because it allows everyone to get the individualized attention that they need. Kara is awesome! She knows the dogs really well and has tons of suggestions for how to help support Buddy in accomplishing the different activities in the class.
I'm having a really great experience. I'm learning all about how to teach my dog. And the teachers are patient with my hyper pup and my inexperienced self. :)
It was very enjoyable. giving up my Saturday afternoon for Baloo is worth it because the trainer is very good and it is a lot of fun for the dog and for me.
Krista is wonderful and Tiffy is learning. She is a 2 1/2 year old tiny poodle rescue and she lives Krista.
Megan is the best! She's the reason we (me and the dog) keep coming back!
Meghan has been terrific and Smokey is making good strides to be less hyper and more obedient. We are working so Smokey is more comfotable around other dogs. Smokey was a rescued dog who was neglected and abused the first three years of his life and then in a kennel for 6 - 8 months before we adopted him...so he had a lot to overcome. With love and care, he is making incredible strides.
Really love it. Meghan is very knowledgable and fun and nice. She explains things so easily and she always has time to take questions about specific issues. Winston really enjoys the classes.
Agility training has been the best thing for Shiloh! He's what most would refer to as a "problem child" because he is too smart for his own good. It also doesn't help that he is deaf, meaning he's never heard the word "no". This training challenges him both mentally and physically which gives our furniture a much needed break :) An added bonus is that even when we're at home he seems to respect and listen (not literally of course) to us more. Overall it's a great bonding/learning experience that I would recommend everyone try!
harley and i love working with trainer aj....he takes special care of every doggie in the room and is very helpful and knowledgeable. Love the vibe of the all the trainers. Very caring and understanding....we are having a blast! harley sends kisses to the receptionist and trainer lisa.....and her favorite, aj!
Fantastic! We love the fact that when you sign up for classes, you don't have to attend in consecutive order. This is great for busy people like us. It's also wonderful to have The Zoom Room so close to our house. Our dogs are having a blast, building confidence and learning new things. A big thank you to trainers Kevin and David for all their help and support!
Molly definitely learned new tricks and we will have to keep practicing I wish the classes were less expensive!
Krista is a terrific instructor. She makes the class challenging and fun for both of us.
Kara is super. She has made our class time fun and informative. Both of my dogs have improved behaviorally and love coming.
Amazing! Love them both.
It's been wonderful. Everyone is extremely knowledgable and helpful and supportive. Definitely real animal people.
Ember and I are really enjoying the agility class. Meaghan is a great teacher and Ember is getting all her energy out in a fun way.
Thiago and I have really been enjoying the zoom room. Thiago is a very fearful rescue dog, and the staff at zoom room have been very patient and kind with him, utilizing only positive reinforcement to help him gain confidence and learn new skills. they have also been patient with me as i learn how to be a better leader to my dog. constructive comments: because my dog tends to gain weight when fed treats, staff has suggested that i cut his meals in half on days when i train him with lots of treats. as a veterinarian, i do not recommend frequently cutting down on meals while feeding an increased quantity of treats, so as to prevent nutritional imbalance. i would suggest using alternative types of treats (such as apples, carrots, plain popcorn) or feeding the dog a portion of his/her regular meals during training (complete balanced diets such as natural balance food rolls or freshpet rolls are tempting to dogs and can be cut into small pieces). i have also noticed that the agility equipment and walls have a dark residue that makes the gym area appear dirty. perhaps scrubbing with a degreasing agent and/or disinfectant would improve the appearance of the gym. i believe staff told me that the training areas (and equipment?) are disinfected twice daily, which is good. it may be worthwhile to mention in the vaccination requirements section of your website that dog owners should speak with their veterinarian about the canine influenza vaccine, as there have been several cases in southern california recently. overall, thiago and i are having a fantastic time and learning a lot, and we look forward to continuing classes at the zoom room.
Excellent - we've been trying to get our 5-year-old dog to stop pulling on the leash from the beginning, and we're well on the way.
Wonderful! Our pups have fun and we all enjoy the experience.
we have seen wonderful improvements in your dog's behavior. Less barking, obedient to commands & overall a happier pup. we are so thankful to have found your training center. You are amazing!
Class was great! There were 3-5 dogs in the group which was enough dogs to create a distraction for my puppy, but few enough to get some personal attention when needed. MacKenzie loves coming to class and learning new things, and is always excited to go!
We didn't know what to expect from this class. It turned out to be interesting and fun! It was amazing to watch the dogs learn each week! Maybe Jordyn will learn to find my cell phone soon!
Lily loves the classes and she certainly feels more confident and outgoing.
Kara is super. She has made our class time fun and informative. Both of my dogs have improved behaviorally and love coming.
LISA WAS JUST AWESOME. THE DOGS REALLY GOT A LOT OF SELF-CONFIDENCE DOING THE AGILITY COURSE. BEING ABUSED DOGS, IT HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE BUT LISA HAS BROUGHT THEM OUT OF THEIR SHELL AND THEY ARE SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT WHEN THEY COMPLETE THE COURSE. SHE HAS BEEN GREAT HANDLING THEM AND GETTING THEIR TRUST WHICH WASN'T EASY.
He's a great instructer
The private instruction has been so helpful in getting me acclimated to having a new dog. As a first time dog owner, I have no idea what I am doing so these sessions have been essential in getting some of the basics down and getting me to feel more confident and be a good leader for Martee. I can't wait to start classes next! I mean, Martee can't wait!
The joy, fun, and growth that Chance, my street rescue dog and I experience is beyond my expectations. I feel it has helped him in so many ways and me as well. I have met so many wonderful owners and their pets whom all share great stories. The support of the instructors and staff is wonderful as well as the group effort to praise each and every dog. I never had a rescue dog off the street so Zoom Room helped me understand how to help Chance grow into a real great little guy. I tell everyone about my experience there and how happy I am to meet so many great people who too rescued a dog too. The Private Gym is very helpful for you and your Dog, I highly recommend doing this with your classes. I am now in my second series of 10 more classes, I guess you can say that I Really Love Zoom Room for more reasons than I have said. Thanks to all the Crew at Sherman Oaks, Chance and I will be Zooming with you for ever....All Critter Love, Tena and Chance
we love our classes at zoom room, and mabel does too. she loves coming to class getting to play with her friends. obedience and agility have been so helpful, really building her confidence and giving us the tools we need to handle her crazy puppyhood. she's only 4 months old and is already so smart and well trained, it's amazing. we've put a lot of hours into training her, and it's really paying off. she is tiny fluffy proof that the zoom room system works.
I didn't think Ayla and I would enjoy the agility, but I discovered that we love doing it! and we love David, he is a great instructor :-) I just wish the class was a little smaller, so we have more time for each dog. The wait time for each dog is pretty long.
I loved how David not only taught the dogs but the owners as well! He made sure that Casey felt comfortable and didn't have us force her to do anything she didn't want to do. Our dog started the class a little timid and by the end, she couldn't wait to go and start the course.
We love coming to the Sherman Oaks Zoom Room with our dogs, Amber Joy and Scooter. My husband and I enjoy training our pups and Amber and Scooter continue to gain confidence and have fun at the same time. Big shout out to trainer David for all his support and guidance.
My 3 year-old English Cocker Spaniel has a great time in agility! I've participated in outdoor agility with another dog but Zoom Room is a good alternative --- no distractions at the park, smaller class size and we like the flexible class times.
