Jean The Machine – March’s Dog

Seattle

Hi my name is Jean, I am a seven year old female Border Collie. When I was a wee young one I lived on a big sheep farm, and my owner taught me to herd sheep by using whistles. I did a really good job and even went on to a few sheepdog trials, but herding was not for me. Then I met my forever mom and dad.

My Mom and Dad did Disc Dog sports with my older brother Leo and Elsa, so I joined the team. They took me to my first Frisbee tournament one month after I moved in. I did really good that day and got 2nd place! From then on I was always in the money and on the podium in all the Skyhoundz and Ashley Whippet trials. Dad says we have lots of “dust collectors” that I won. We could have gone to the World Championships but I am a little bit terrified of flying. Mom and I have been in Agilty for a few years, I don’t know for sure how long because I really can’t count too good. But I can run REALLY fast!

We started At Zoom Room a year ago, Mom made me take the Canine Good Citizen class before we could get back to agility.  I love all the obstacles, but my favorite is the tunnel! When ever I go off course I go to the tunnel, stare and wait to start again.  My sister Elsa does agility to, but she’s no so fast anymore.  In my spare time I like to hike with my family, chase squirrels, dig holes, climb trees, swim, and play chuck it with Elsa in our woods.

I gave everyone that wants lots on kisses and tail wags. I am one of the happiest dogs alive!
