Loose Leash Walking Workshop

Taking your dog for a walk should be a joy, not a hassle. Do you walk your dog, or does your dog walk you? If you’ve got a pup who pulls, balks, lunges, leaps, squirms, and every verb other than walk when on leash, this class is for you. We’ll work on heeling, leash control and response to distractions.

Important: If your dog barks uncontrollably at other dogs while leashed, please call us before enrolling, as this may not be the right class for you.

Mondays at 6pm starting May 13th
Prerequisite: Obedience 1 or approval of instructor
Cost: $125

Pet Partners Therapy Dog Test

Therapy Dog Team Evaluation by Pet Partners

Therapy Dog Training is the most rewarding work you can do with your dog, as it affords both of you an opportunity to share your love with the people in the community who need it most.

The Pet Partner’s team evaluation conducted here at Zoom Room is a mock therapy animal visit conducted with a Pet Partners licensed evaluator.

The evaluator will assess your ability to interpret and manage your animal’s behavior, as well as your animal’s response to your cues.

Pet Partners is the nation’s leading non-profit registering handlers of dogs as volunteer teams providing Animal-Assisted Interventions.

Once you and your dog successfully complete Therapy Dog coursework at the Zoom Room, becoming a registered therapy animal team with Pet Partners requires successful completion of the Pet Partners handler course, an animal health screening conducted by your veterinarian, and a Team Evaluation for both the handler and their dog.

Once registered with Pet Partners, teams are prepared to begin visiting facilities including hospitals, nursing homes, veterans’ centers, hospice, Alzheimer’s facilities, courtrooms, schools and other settings.

Please Note: Test times are every 30 minutes. Please call to confirm your start time.

Saturday July 13th 3pm-6pm
Prerequisite: Suggested CGC certificate and/or Obedience 3 classes.
Cost: $25
