Bark for Life Mixer

Mixer Brought Volunteers/Dogs Together

Bark for Life volunteers took a break from preparing for their upcoming event by enjoying an evening at Zoom Room Culver City on Saturday night.  Bark for Life is annual event put on by the American Cancer Society to raise funds and awareness in the fight against cancer.  The mixer for the “Bark for Life LA” volunteers and their canine companions was the first in a series of mixers meant to let the volunteers unwind and take a break from organizing the event. Great fun, food, and pups were everywhere.

The American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life honors the caregiving qualities of canine companions. The Bark for Life event offers a full day of fun, starting with a non-competitive walk for dogs and their owners.  After the walk, stay for  contests, games, demonstrations, and activities.  This year’s Bark for Life event is slated for Saturday, July 7, from 11am-2pm at Cheviot Hills Park.  The cost is $25/per dog.

Come down and join trainer Kris and “Team Zoom Room” for the walk and stay for agility demonstrations by the dogs of the Zoom Room.  To join our team, contact Kris. If you are interested in organizing your own team (or just want to walk with your pup) visit RelayForLife.org for more information.
