Dog’s breed: Kelpie and maybe Corgie

Age: 5 1/2

I found Bubble through the PetFinder app when she was 3 months old.  She caught my eye and when I learned that she was in a foster home because she had been rescued from an animal hoarding situation, I knew I had to welcome her into my life. I drove over 300 miles to meet her in Stockton, CA. We had an instant connection and she jumped up into my arms immediately and started giving me kisses. That’s all it took. I didn’t know that she was a Kelpie mix until an Australian woman stopped me on the street and told me. I looked up Kelpies and realized that Bubble had all the qualities of this Australian working dog. She has great balance and is always jumping up and walking on walls. She is a quick learner. So I started enrolling her in the agility classes at Zoom Room CC shortly after I got her.  And the rest is history! Bubble just seemed to fit her enthusiastic personality. And it goes so well with my last name – Hubbell 🙂

She loves ANY treat, “the skies the limit!” and ANY toy that squeaks. When not at Zoom Room, Bubble loves to go out on the water on her Stand Up Paddleboard!

Bubble is very vocal and makes unusual noises. I think because I’m a speech therapist I like a dog who communicates vocally. She makes different noises depending on the situation. She has a wide vocal range!  She lets you know when she is excited about an upcoming activity or if she doesn’t like waiting her turn to run the agility course, or if she sees a squirrel or cat or opossum, etc. She watches nature and dog agility shows with me and narrates the entire time. If an animal runs across the screen she runs around the house and yard looking for it. Ha! She’s just very entertaining and the biggest joy in my life.
