This December, Zoom Room Boise is proud to spotlight a pup whose joy is as bright as holiday lights and whose enthusiasm jingles louder than any sleigh bell.
Meet Theo, our Holly Jolly Heartthrob and Dog of the Month! At just 1.5 years old, Theo is already on an incredible journey. As a golden retriever in training to become a medical alert service dog, he tackles every challenge with determination, curiosity, and a signature sparkle in his eye. He’s gentle, he’s joyful, and he pours his whole heart into being the best partner he can be for his handler, Alex.
Theo loves to learn, and even when his impulses get the best of him, he tries again—each time with the same big-hearted enthusiasm that makes him impossible not to adore.
- Favorite Toy: His beloved Snuggle Puppy, the bedtime buddy he’s loved since he was just 8 weeks old and sleeps with every night

- Favorite activity at the Zoom Room: Agility! Theo is so obsessed that the equipment becomes the main event
Theo’s owner, Alex, had this to say:
Theo has been my partner since he was just 8 weeks old, and watching him grow into the goofy, joyful, determined dog he is today has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. He is currently training to become a medical alert service dog, and every day he shows me just how devoted and capable he can be. He loves to learn and always gives his whole heart to whatever we’re working on, even when his enthusiasm sometimes gets ahead of him. What I admire most is his willingness to try again, to focus, and to keep building our bond through the work we do together. Outside of training, Theo is happiest splashing in water, rivers, lakes, waves… and especially anywhere with waterfowl to admire. His silly antics, his eagerness to please, and his endless affection brighten even the toughest days.
