Burt Wonderstone the Dog is Incredible

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (Burt for short), is possibly a combination of Fox Terrier and Schnauzer.  His story began just over a year ago on the streets of Los Angeles, where he was living.

His mom, Jan, says that her dog walker had seen the little dog running in traffic near Beverly and Vermont.  She knew he would get hit by a car if she didn’t step in. She jumped out of her car and the chase was on.

The dog walker eventually caught Burt and took him home. With no collar, no tags, and no microchip, it wasn’t easy to figure out where he came from.  The dog walker posted flyers and tried her best to reunite him with his family.  It was soon clear no one was looking for him and it was time to find him a new forever home.  She called Jan, who decided she would pitch in and help in the hunt.  The dog walker took him to the vet and Jan paid for him to get fixed, chipped, and vaccinated.  When the dog walker dropped him off, it was love at first sight.  Burt was destined to join Jan’s family.

Burt came into Jan’s life at the same time the movie “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” was in the theaters.  It was meant to be and he became Burt.

Jan and Burt have been together for a year and a half.  Jan says, “He makes me smile from the minute I open my eyes until I hit the pillow. If Burt were a person, he’d simply be the most positive person I know.”  Burt loves playing with his Wubba, eating homemade chicken strips, and going to Agility class.

Congratulations, Burt Wonderstone, you truly live up to your incredible name!
