Snooki is the puppy of two champion Shih Tzus from the midwest, but, as the runt of her litter, being a show dog wasn’t in the stars.  Instead, Snooki went to live with her adoptive parents, Mike and Lisa, in Manhattan Beach.  Snooki is now eight months old and has already conquered many feats, including her first camping trip and several plane rides.  Snooki’s favorite activity is definitely agililty — she can’t seem to get enough of it!  Sometimes she can even be found sleeping on her make-shift “table” at home. 

Snooki’s mom and dad are proud to see the joy and progress Zoom Room classes have brought her.  Snooki was chosen as July’s Member of the Month because of her rapid improvement in agility and the fact that she can sneeze on command.  Snooki will be awarded a toy of her choice while her mom will get a Zoom Room t-shirt and her dad will get a Zoom Room hat.  Congratulations, Snooki!

Meet Quincy

The Zoom Room is also pleased to celebrate Facebook’s M.O.M. Quincy, who is not a member yet, but would like to try his hand as a therapy dog.  Quincy was rescued by his mom, Dawn, in April 2009.  His mom saw the little “Ewok” face and just had to take him home.  Quincy is around three years old and is a possible mix of Border Terrier and Brussels Griffon.  Quincy loves the simple things, such as hugs, kisses and running on the beach.  He loves everyone… kids, adults, other animals, you name it, he loves ’em!  Quincy is excited to be recognized by the Zoom Room and is proud to represent all the rescue dogs who need a second chance.

What is Open Gym, you may ask?  Open Gym is an opportunity for members and their dogs to come to our facility and use our equipment during designated times.  It is available in half-hour increments at incredibly affordable prices – or in discounted packages for even greater savings. It’s the perfect opportunity to get in some real quality exercise time with your dog, whatever the weather.
